1. Acceptance of These Terms

Welcome to Ahfiah.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Ahfiah website, mobile application, vendor portal, directory listings, review features, claim-page process, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By accessing, browsing, creating an account, submitting a review, claiming a business page, responding to a review, submitting a business update, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Ahfiah.

These Terms apply to:

Users: people who browse listings, search for businesses, view business details, submit reviews, upload photos, or otherwise use Ahfiah for personal or business discovery.
Vendors: business owners, authorised managers, employees, agents, or representatives who claim, manage, update, or respond to reviews for a business listing.
Visitors: anyone who accesses the Platform without creating an account.

If you use Ahfiah on behalf of a business, organisation, or other legal entity, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. About Ahfiah

Ahfiah is a service-provider discovery platform. It helps users discover businesses and service providers through listings, location information, business details, photos, pricing guidance, customer reviews, and related information.

At launch, Ahfiah may feature categories such as restaurants and beauty services. Ahfiah may add, remove, or change categories, features, locations, and services over time.

Ahfiah is a directory and discovery platform. Unless Ahfiah explicitly states otherwise in writing, Ahfiah does not:

provide the services offered by the listed businesses;
employ, control, supervise, or act as an agent for listed businesses;
guarantee a business’s quality, availability, pricing, safety, legal compliance, or suitability;
guarantee that a user and vendor will complete any booking, purchase, appointment, delivery, or other transaction;
resolve every dispute between users and businesses.

Any agreement, booking, purchase, payment, service delivery, appointment, refund, cancellation, or dispute between a user and a vendor is generally between that user and vendor, not Ahfiah.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, to create an account or use features that involve submitting content, claiming a page, managing a business, or entering into any agreement through the Platform.

You must not use Ahfiah if:

you are prohibited from using the Platform under applicable law;
your account has been suspended or terminated by Ahfiah;
you have previously provided false, misleading, or fraudulent information to Ahfiah;
you intend to use the Platform for an unlawful, harmful, deceptive, abusive, or unauthorised purpose.

4. Accounts and Account Security

Some Ahfiah features require an account.

You agree to:

provide accurate, current, and complete account information;
keep your login details confidential;
not share your account credentials with another person;
promptly update inaccurate or outdated account details;
Notify Ahfiah immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account;
accept responsibility for activity carried out through your account, unless caused by Ahfiah’s failure to protect the Platform.

Ahfiah may suspend, restrict, or terminate an account where we reasonably believe there has been fraud, misuse, impersonation, security risk, repeated policy breaches, or unlawful conduct.

5. User Use of the Platform

Users may use Ahfiah to discover, compare, and contact listed service providers.

You may:

browse public business listings;
search by category, location, price range, service style, tags, ratings, and other available filters;
submit reviews and ratings based on genuine experiences;
upload photos where permitted;
report inaccurate, harmful, fraudulent, or inappropriate content;
contact a business using the contact methods displayed on its listing.

You must not:

create fake accounts or impersonate another person or business;
submit false, fabricated, misleading, retaliatory, or manipulated reviews;
post content about a business you have not genuinely visited or used;
use the Platform to harass, threaten, stalk, defame, discriminate against, or abuse another person or business;
upload illegal, pornographic, violent, hateful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful content;
use automated tools, bots, scraping software, or other unauthorised means to extract Platform data;
copy, reproduce, sell, republish, or commercially exploit Platform content without Ahfiah’s written permission;
interfere with the Platform’s security, functionality, integrity, or normal operation;
use Ahfiah to promote scams, illegal services, counterfeit goods, or misleading offers.

6. Reviews, Ratings, Photos, and User Content

6.1 Genuine Experience Requirement

You may submit a review only where it reflects your genuine, first-hand experience with the relevant business or service provider.

Your review must be fair, honest, and based on your own experience. You must not submit a review in exchange for payment, discounts, gifts, pressure, threats, or other improper incentives unless the relationship or incentive is clearly disclosed where required.

6.2 Prohibited Review Content

Reviews, ratings, photos, and comments must not include:

knowingly false or misleading statements;
defamatory or malicious allegations;
threats, harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or abusive language;
private personal information, including phone numbers, addresses, financial information, identification details, or private communications;
content that violates another person’s privacy rights;
copyrighted material you do not have permission to use;
sexually explicit, graphic, violent, or unlawful content;
promotional links, spam, or unrelated advertising;
content submitted by a business owner, employee, agent, competitor, or close associate without clear disclosure of the relationship.

6.3 Review Moderation

Ahfiah may review, approve, reject, edit for formatting, hide, remove, or investigate any review, image, rating, reply, or other content.

Ahfiah is not required to publish every submission. Approval of content does not mean Ahfiah agrees with, verifies, or endorses the content.

Ahfiah may remove or restrict content where we reasonably believe it:

breaches these Terms;
is inaccurate, misleading, fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful;
creates a privacy, safety, reputational, or legal risk;
is unrelated to the business or service reviewed;
was posted by someone with a conflict of interest;
contains personal data or content that should not be public;
is subject to a valid legal complaint, court order, or regulatory requirement.

6.4 Licence to Ahfiah

When you submit a review, rating, photo, comment, reply, suggestion, or other content to Ahfiah, you retain ownership of your content.

However, you grant Ahfiah a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, display, format, publish, distribute, adapt for technical purposes, and use that content in connection with operating, improving, promoting, and providing the Platform.

This licence ends when the content is permanently removed from the Platform, except where retention is required for legal, security, dispute-resolution, backup, or compliance purposes.

You confirm that you have the rights, permissions, and authority necessary to submit the content and grant this licence.

7. Business Listings and Third-Party Information

Ahfiah may create, publish, curate, or display business listings using information from public sources, vendor submissions, users, third-party platforms, business websites, social-media pages, maps, review sources, or other reasonably available sources.

Listing information may include:

business name;
category;
description;
address and location;
contact information;
opening hours;
pricing or average spend guidance;
photos, logos, menus, and social links;
ratings, reviews, tags, and service style;
third-party review-source references.

Ahfiah aims to keep listings useful and accurate, but does not guarantee that listing information is complete, current, accurate, available, or suitable for every user.

Before visiting, booking, buying from, or engaging a business, users should independently confirm important information directly with the vendor, including:

operating hours;
current pricing;
availability;
menu or service options;
accessibility;
safety requirements;
booking terms;
payment methods;
cancellation and refund terms;
location and contact details.

8. Vendor Accounts and Claiming a Business Page

A vendor may request to claim a business page through the Platform.

By submitting a claim request, you confirm that:

You are the business owner or are authorised to act for the business;
The information you provide is accurate and complete;
You have the authority to manage the business listing;
You will not attempt to claim a competitor’s, unrelated party’s, or unauthorised business page;
You will provide reasonable evidence of authority if requested.

Ahfiah may ask for verification evidence, including:

a business email address;
phone verification;
business website or social-media profile;
business registration information;
proof of role or ownership;
identification or other supporting documentation;
a call, email, or other verification method.

Ahfiah may approve, reject, suspend, revoke, or request further information about any claim request at its discretion.

A claim approval means only that Ahfiah has approved a vendor’s access to manage that listing. It does not mean Ahfiah endorses, certifies, guarantees, or recommends the business.

9. Vendor Responsibilities

Vendors are responsible for all information, content, images, replies, offers, and updates submitted through their vendor profile.

Vendors must ensure that their listings are accurate and current, including:

business name;
category;
contact details;
phone number and WhatsApp number;
address and location;
opening hours;
service descriptions;
pricing guidance;
website and social-media links;
photos, menus, logos, and promotional materials;
availability and business status.

Vendors must not submit or publish content that is false, misleading, illegal, defamatory, discriminatory, infringing, sexually explicit, threatening, or harmful.

Vendors confirm that they have all necessary rights and permissions to use any submitted:

business name;
logo;
image;
menu;
design;
trademark;
photo;
promotional material;
third-party content.

Vendors remain solely responsible for:

services they offer;
product quality;
staff conduct;
customer safety;
business licences and permits;
legal and regulatory compliance;
tax obligations;
pricing accuracy;
fulfilment of bookings, sales, appointments, deliveries, or promotions;
refunds, cancellations, complaints, and customer disputes;
insurance, health, safety, and professional requirements applicable to their business.

10. Vendor Listing Updates

Ahfiah may allow vendors to request updates to their business listing.

Updates may include changes to:

business name;
description;
phone number;
address;
working hours;
website;
Instagram or social media page;
business images;
service style;
budget range;
menus;
pricing guidance;
available services.

Vendor-submitted updates may be marked as “Pending Review” before they are published publicly.

Ahfiah may approve, reject, delay, modify for formatting, request clarification, or remove submitted changes where necessary to maintain listing quality, accuracy, legal compliance, user safety, or Platform integrity.

A vendor must not use listing updates to:

falsely represent a different business;
alter another business’s identity;
mislead users about pricing, services, location, approvals, qualifications, or availability;
promote prohibited products or services;
add unauthorised third-party content;
hide material information that users reasonably need.

11. Vendor Responses to Reviews

Vendors may be permitted to reply to approved customer reviews.

Vendor replies must be professional, respectful, and relevant.

Vendors must not:

threaten, harass, shame, intimidate, or retaliate against reviewers;
publish a reviewer’s personal information;
offer money, discounts, gifts, or benefits in exchange for deleting or changing a review;
post fake user reviews or arrange fake reviews;
pressure employees, friends, family members, or customers to submit misleading reviews;
make discriminatory, abusive, defamatory, or unlawful statements;
Use replies for spam, advertising, or unrelated promotion.

Ahfiah may moderate vendor replies before publication. Ahfiah may reject, edit for formatting, hide, or remove a reply that breaches these Terms or creates a legal, safety, privacy, or reputational risk.

12. Reporting Reviews and Content

Vendors may report a review or user content if they reasonably believe it is:

false or misleading;
unrelated to their business;
posted by a competitor, employee, former employee, or person with a conflict of interest;
abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or defamatory;
a privacy violation;
spam, fraudulent, or unlawful.

A vendor must provide honest and relevant information when reporting content.

Submitting a report does not guarantee removal. Ahfiah will assess reports based on available information, Platform rules, fairness, user safety, and applicable legal obligations.

Ahfiah may ask both parties for evidence or clarification.

Vendors may not use the reporting process to suppress genuine criticism simply because it is negative.

13. No Guarantee of Rankings, Visibility, or Results

Ahfiah may organise, feature, filter, rank, or display listings using factors such as relevance, category, location, profile completeness, user activity, ratings, listing quality, vendor status, availability of information, and other Platform criteria.

Ahfiah does not guarantee:

a particular ranking or search position;
a minimum number of views, leads, calls, visits, bookings, sales, or reviews;
that a listing will appear in every search;
that a claimed listing will be featured;
that user reviews will be positive;
that a listing will remain visible without interruption.

Where Ahfiah introduces paid placements, promotional packages, featured listings, advertising, or premium services, these will be clearly identified where appropriate and may be subject to additional terms.

14. Fees and Paid Features

Ahfiah may offer free and paid features now or in the future.

If a fee applies, Ahfiah will disclose the relevant price, billing arrangement, renewal terms, cancellation terms, and applicable taxes before payment is required.

Unless stated otherwise:

All fees are non-refundable once a paid service has been delivered or activated;
Vendors are responsible for providing accurate billing information;
vendors are responsible for applicable taxes;
Ahfiah may suspend paid features where payment is unsuccessful, reversed, disputed, fraudulent, or overdue.

Any payment-related terms may be supplemented by specific purchase, subscription, promotion, or advertising terms.

15. Intellectual Property

Ahfiah, its name, logo, visual identity, software, database structure, design, text, graphics, Platform features, and other proprietary materials are owned by or licensed to Ahfiah and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, license, reverse engineer, reproduce, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any part of the Platform without Ahfiah’s prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

Business names, logos, trademarks, images, and other vendor materials remain the property of their respective owners.

If you believe content on Ahfiah infringes your intellectual property rights, contact Ahfiah at support@ahfiah.com with:

your name and contact details;
a description of the protected work;
the location of the allegedly infringing content;
evidence of ownership or authority;
a statement that your complaint is made in good faith.

16. Privacy and Data Protection

Ahfiah processes personal information in connection with operating the Platform, providing accounts, processing claim requests, moderating reviews, handling reports, communicating with users and vendors, improving Platform functionality, and meeting legal or security obligations.

Ahfiah’s handling of personal data is explained in its Privacy Notice.

By using Ahfiah, you acknowledge that Ahfiah may process information such as:

name;
email address;
phone number;
account details;
business information;
reviews and photos;
communications;
claim-verification information;
device, browser, and usage information;
location-related information where enabled or provided.

You must not submit another person’s personal information unless you have a lawful basis and appropriate authority to do so.

Vendors must take particular care not to disclose a user’s personal information in public replies or business-listing content.

17. Third-Party Services and Links

Ahfiah may contain links to third-party websites, social-media accounts, maps, menus, messaging platforms, booking systems, review sources, payment providers, or other external services.

These third-party services are not controlled by Ahfiah.

Ahfiah is not responsible for:

third-party content;
third-party availability;
third-party privacy practices;
third-party terms;
products or services offered by third parties;
transactions carried out outside Ahfiah.

Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies.

18. Platform Availability and Changes

Ahfiah may modify, suspend, discontinue, improve, or remove any part of the Platform at any time.

We may also update listing formats, categories, filters, vendor tools, moderation processes, review features, account settings, and technical requirements.

Ahfiah does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Platform. Maintenance, technical issues, third-party services, internet failures, security events, or other circumstances may affect availability.

19. Suspension and Termination

Ahfiah may suspend, limit, remove, or terminate access to the Platform, an account, a vendor profile, a business claim, a listing, a review, or other content where we reasonably believe that there has been:

breach of these Terms;
fraud or attempted fraud;
impersonation;
misuse of reviews or ratings;
false business information;
unauthorised claim activity;
harassment, abuse, or threats;
privacy violation;
intellectual-property infringement;
unlawful conduct;
security risk;
Repeated complaints or policy breaches;
conduct that harms Ahfiah, users, vendors, or the integrity of the Platform.

Where reasonable, Ahfiah may provide notice of suspension or termination. However, Ahfiah may act without prior notice where immediate action is needed for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, user safety, or Platform protection.

20. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis, subject to applicable law.

Ahfiah does not guarantee that:

listings are complete, current, accurate, or error-free;
reviews reflect every customer’s experience;
a listed vendor is suitable for a particular user;
a vendor will respond to messages or honour information displayed on the Platform;
any product, service, appointment, booking, or transaction will meet a user’s expectations;
The Platform will be free from technical interruptions, security issues, or defects.

Users should use their own judgment before engaging a vendor.

Vendors are responsible for their own business conduct, statements, pricing, operations, services, and customer interactions.

Nothing in these Terms removes rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded.

21. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ahfiah and its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, contractors, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses arising from or connected with your use of the Platform.

This includes loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of data, business interruption, reputational loss, missed opportunities, dissatisfaction with a vendor, vendor-user disputes, or reliance on listing information.

To the extent permitted by law, Ahfiah’s total liability arising from a claim relating to the Platform will not exceed the amount you paid directly to Ahfiah for the specific paid service giving rise to the claim during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or mandatory consumer and data-protection obligations.

22. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ahfiah and its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, contractors, and partners from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from:

your breach of these Terms;
content you submit or publish;
your misuse of the Platform;
your violation of another person’s rights;
your unlawful conduct;
vendor services, products, claims, pricing, advertising, or customer dealings;
false or misleading information you provide;
unauthorised use of another person’s business or identity.

This clause applies to the extent permitted by applicable law.

23. Complaints and Disputes

If you have a complaint about Ahfiah, a listing, a review, a vendor reply, a claim decision, or other Platform content, contact us at support@ahfiah.com

Please include:

your name;
your contact details;
the relevant business or account;
a clear description of the issue;
relevant screenshots, links, records, or evidence;
the outcome you are requesting.

Ahfiah will review complaints in good faith. However, Ahfiah is not required to resolve private disputes between users and vendors unless the dispute directly concerns a breach of these Terms, Platform safety, a legal requirement, or Ahfiah’s own conduct.

24. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Subject to any mandatory rights or procedures under applicable law, the courts located in Lagos State, Nigeria, will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Ahfiah.

25. Changes to These Terms

Ahfiah may update these Terms from time to time.

Where changes are material, Ahfiah may provide notice through the Platform, by email, or by another reasonable method.

The updated Terms will take effect on the date stated at the top of the document. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date means that you accept the updated Terms.

26. General Terms

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will remain in effect.

Ahfiah’s failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive its right to enforce that provision later.

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without Ahfiah’s written consent.

Ahfiah may transfer its rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Notice and any additional terms presented for specific services, form the entire agreement between you and Ahfiah regarding use of the Platform.
